Do We Love Our Neighbours Enough?

When Jesus was asked the question by a lawyer, “Who is my neighbour?”, the Master Jesus told the parable of the Samaritan, who stopped on the roadside to help an injured traveller.

Many people of different religions and status continued to walk on the other side of the road, but the Samaritan didn’t hesitate and took care of the traveller.

Jesus makes it very clear that all souls are our neighbours and that we all have a duty, in the eyes of our Father, to look after their needs and, by so doing, we can all live in peace and harmony.

With the massive amount of media attention on the air waves, it is difficult not to know about the distress that is common around the world.  The Middle East is in constant turmoil, because of the Arabs and the Jews.

The Arabs have many different states and differing levels of wealth according to where exactly the oilfields are located and the Jews are constantly trying to acquire more land to house their people.

All of them are neighbours to each other and despite their religious differences, there appears to be little love between them, even though they have scriptures based on love and not fear and hatred.

Every November there is held a Poppy Day, where for the most part of the British population buy poppies.  They remember those who died fighting for peace in Europe during two World Wars.

Remembrance Day is a memorial day observed in Commonwealth member states since the end of the First World War to remember the members of their armed forces, who have died in the line of duty.

Veterans Day is distinct from Memorial Day, a U.S. public holiday in May. Veterans Day celebrates the service of all U.S. military veterans, while Memorial Day honors those who have died while in military service.

Here we honour our own and seem to conveniently forget that we are commanded not to kill and that we are all our neighbours, who we are commanded to love.

Looking around the world, we are opposed to so many peoples and nations that it is hard to understand how hatred and fear can be turned by love into a balanced harmony among all nations.

The leaders of nations are all afraid that they will be attacked and will go to many lengths to safeguard themselves by whatever means they come to believe in.

The wealthier they are the more they spend on weaponry, either to defend themselves or to fight smaller nations, who cannot beat them but cannot win either.

The Americans are past masters of this strategy and parade around the world building airfields and naval harbours to defend themselves from their neighbours.

We all need to understand the effect that this has on our neighbours, who end up in refugee camps, where nobody seems to want to take responsibility for these mainly women and children.

Ten-year-olds are taught to hate and to know no other life than what they have found in these camps and it is no wonder that despite the work that charities do, they are taught to hate their oppressors.

We all have a duty to stop the hatred of war dead in its tracks and act together as one human nation brought together by the Father Creator to live in love and peace for the benefit of all.

The Winds of Change

As an island off the western edge of the European coast, we are used to reading about the climate change in other parts of the world, but recently the increasing severity of storms and heavy rainfall has brought it home to us.

Our weather has brought record high temperatures and massive storms and flooding all within a couple of weeks.  Climate change is definitely upon us and showing its teeth.

The most remarkable global weather shows all that it is still the same frequency but the intensity is much greater.  It gets hotter and wetter.  It gets colder and drier.

Around the world in recent weeks we have seen wildfires from Siberia across the Arctic Circle to Greenland, Alaska and Canada.  They are caused by dry storms and high temperatures.

In Mexico, there was a thick layer of ice after a heavy hailstorm. The ice was up to 1.5m (5ft) thick in places, half-burying vehicles.

Temperature records were broken at locations in France, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and Spain. The new French record, established at Gallargues-le-Montueux last Friday, was more than 1.5C above the previous high mark.

Much of the concern about the heat focused on France, with red alerts in several areas, many schools were closed, exams were postponed and health minister Agnès Buzyn warned that "everyone is at risk".

There have been earthquakes in Greece, wildfires in Portugal together with hurricanes and typhoons of increasing concern.  It is becoming hard to read the world news without further signs of climate change yelling at us to start to change our lifestyle.

If we are serious about leaving this beautiful planet enriched with life and created in love, we must not turn away from our responsibilities.

Huge areas of the Amazon Forest are still disappearing as men cut and burn it for profit regardless of the loss of oxygen that we have to breathe and the ability to reduce carbon dioxide.  It is this gas that increases the global temperature.

Still fossil fuels are allowed to be protected, so that commercial interests come before the needs of the planet.  The development of electric cars, wind farms and the harnessing of sun and tidal energy are moving too slowly.

The winds of change are all around us, but it is as though we are only paying lip service to the looming change that we are all starting to feel.

There are many schemes such as the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, providing a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity.

The question is, “Are we doing enough to halt the increasing climate changes before they become unstoppable?”  There are too many men and women in power, who do not take this matter to their hearts as they continue to allow the lobbying of their backers to create policy.

We all need to make our voices heard and put out our thoughts to the Universe, so that the Higher Intelligence knowns that we care.  Through love and harmony will come the enlightening.

We cannot have a foot in both camps.  We all need to think and live our lives in the light that God shows us and, by doing so, the darkness of ignorance will be disposed of and goodness and harmony will conquer.

God’s Gifts Are All Around Us

Sunshine in our lives is a gift from God that we cannot live without.  It not only lights our way but, when taken in by plants, produces energy that sustains our physical body.

It is vital to our very existence that we receive our regular dosage of sunlight for Vitamin D, which is essential for healthy bones. In the UK we get most of our vitamin D from sunlight exposure by going outside, during early April to the end of September.

We all need to take responsibility for any of the deficiencies in our bodies and to take top up supplements where needed, especially as we get older.  To stay healthy, we need regular exercise and exposure to limited amounts of sunshine.

As Mankind plays Russian Roulette with our climate, by burning fossil fuels and slowly destroying the Ozone layer, which helps to filter out the harmful effects of sunlight, the world order is changed.

Temperatures are steadily climbing, causing the ice at the poles to melt and the water levels to rise.  People who live at sea level are losing their homes and whole islands are being lost.  Most food production takes place at the lower levels.

There is a trend towards using renewables to produce the electricity that people insist that they need, but the truth is that large amounts of coal are still being burnt.

One such example is in Germany, where more than a third of the country's electricity is still produced by burning coal - mostly dirty brown lignite.  The Hambacher Forest is threatened with total destruction and there's not much of it left now.

The forest sits atop one of the largest coalfields in Europe and, since mining started in 1978, the trees have been gradually stripped away to allow the excavators access to the riches that lie beneath - millions of tons of coal, coal that keeps industry running in this part of Germany.

The coal that is extracted here is brown coal, also known as lignite, which emits particularly high levels of carbon dioxide.  Not only is there production of much CO2, but 90% of the forestation has already been lost and the trees are not replaced to reduce the CO2 through photosynthesis.

This is just one area where sheer greed has taken away the natural forest and Germany's Niederaussem plant, supplied by the Hambacher mine, ranks second in Europe for emissions of mercury.

Burning coal damages health by producing particulates, ground-level ozone and nitrogen dioxide.  Brown coal is worse than ordinary coal - for health and the climate - because more must be burned to produce the same amount of energy.

Contamination from Germany and Poland stretches across Europe, including to the UK, depending on the wind direction.  We are passively being exploited, not only here, although Germany is the biggest source of lignite in the world, followed by China and Turkey - in 2016, the EU was responsible for 37.5% of global production.

God’s gifts are all around us, but their exploitation is damaging the whole planet, as Global Warming continues to accelerate.  We must all start to play our part in securing the safety of this planet, otherwise there won’t be anything left for humanity by the end of this century.

Like the example of Vitamin D, which we need to give us a strong healthy skeleton of bone, we equally must make sure that the resources that we have are sustainable and well founded.

It can’t be ignored or left to others.  We all have to take responsibility and ask in our prayers for the Universal God to show us the right way for us to act.

A Glimpse into the Summerland of Our Future

The Spring and Summer months give us the opportunities to see the beauties of nature, as the world comes to life and the regular cycles of existence become plain to see again.

Our Creator blessed us with such beautiful sights and colours.  They are so uplifting and positive in vibration, as each colour vibrates on a different frequency.

Those who have been into the next dimension tell us that these frequencies cause the flowers to ‘sing’.  Our senses are purer and more perfect and we can hear these wonderful notes in the purity of the air.

Imagine the range of colours, all in perfect harmony, expressing their ‘happiness’ and bringing to the passed spirits joy in this dimension of unconditional love.

Every day is perfect in this Summerland.  There are no seasons and so all flowers are able to bloom and grow together in perfect harmony.  They are all compatible and perfect without damage from weather or pests.

Spirit gardeners tend the flowers and create works of art by planting and caring for these flowers and making, not only a visual display, but a musical calmness of pleasantness and peace.

All emotions here stem from unconditional love, which emanate from the Creator himself and there is no negativity.  All is perfect and soothing, so we are always happy.

Those who have experienced God’s unconditional love will know that it is greater than any earthly words can tell.  The magnitude of that love exceeds the limits of our earthly senses.

It warms us and calms us to keep going through the trails of earthly experiences and loss.  It lifts us from the mundane and negative world into a positive state of being.

It is through this immense love that miracles occur and can be recognised through the upliftment of our souls to meet the gracious and caring state of being that we came from.

We all need a boost now and again to uplift our spirits into coping with the invasion of negative energies.  When we feel down and cannot see how to cope with a negative matter, we have only to ask.

The Spirit doesn’t remove our problem but helps to move our anxiety and overcome it.  Sincere words directed to the Almighty or just out into the Universe will always be heard.

Never think that your prayers are never answered just because you don’t get what you want.  It is what you need that is important here and one must try to see the bigger picture.

We are all part of a great plan for the benefit of all Creation through the greater good and we need to understand that we have a role to fulfil, even if we don’t always see what it is.

Keep in mind the beauties of the Summerland and by leading that spiritual life and overcoming negativity for yourself and others, you will be able to keep positive and be successful.

We will all need a rest and some relaxation after our earthly stay and so by getting goodness and harmony in life with others, we can start to book that journey to the Summerland.

We will go where we have earned our vacation.  Only our actions can fulfil that place.  Give the Spirit something to work with for that holiday of a lifetime.

Change is Always on the Way

As we go through life, the one thing that is certain is that change is inevitable.  We can never stay the same any more than the sun ceases to rise or the moon to set.

There are constants, such as the existence of the sun and the moon, but the rising and setting are at different times every day, just as our lives are different each and every day.

Each day we grow older and face different challenges in life and we have set tasks to do in set amounts of time.  Life goes on in a sequence of cycles as our lives progress.

We reach certain targets at certain ages until we are, in God’s time, called to go home to the Spirit World of unconditional love.  There we will know if we have reached our targets that were destined for us.

We go through the many changes in our lives acting out the scenarios that we are faced with and trying to do our best for ourselves and those around us.

Those of us who try and take personal responsibilities seriously are glad of opportunities that occur to help others and to spread the word of spiritual knowledge that has been given to us.

Some of us have been given the gifts of healing and mediumship, which we use to answer questions in other people’s lives when they can come to us for solutions to their troubles.

Many have other gifts of common sense and the meaning of right and wrong.  They often have simple faiths of a spiritual nature, which are within us all but are not always recognised.

Some people turn away from their conscience to follow a path of egotistic desires for themselves alone and prefer to be in the darkness of ignorance rather than the light of understanding.

We are all given opportunities to decide on doing what is right and honourable and taking our own line and believing we will get away with it and we need not worry about those souls that we hurt.

It should be well known by now that the Higher Intelligence sees all and there is nothing that we can get away with.  Our thoughts and actions are recorded and shown to us after we pass from this world.

There we are given the opportunity to review our lives and to feel the ripples of our actions as they reach out to other people.  According to our intentions, these can be for the better or for the worse.

It is not a question of hellfire or heavenly repose.  Our Creator made everything very simple for us.  Man, through religion, has put his own slant on it through the ages and they still do.

We will be given the opportunity to put right the harm that we may have done and to prove our understanding by putting our mistakes and errors to good use by helping those who have been abused or hurt.

As we move steadily towards our passing, we need to be prepared for our examination of our own lives and to see that we always do our best for the greater good.

Love conquers all and our homecoming will be proof of that.  However, we must earn our place in the Spirit World or Heaven.  We will be met by what we have earned on this earth plane.

Unconditional love is our gift given to us in our creation.  God loves us and we need to show that we love what he has made including our fellow man.

Keep the World in Balance

As the long summer starts to break out in front of us and we have the prospect of regular work in the garden ahead, we might find some time to reflect on the magnificence of the Creator’s Hand.

In the evolution of the creation, the delicate and subtle nuances of flowers and plants are strong enough to survive the harsh conditions that assail them as seasons come and go.

Each has managed to find a niche, which gives them the best chance of survival as the daylight lengthens and the soil is warmed by the rays of the sun.

All over the world there are plants surviving and spreading.  This is essential to our very existence on this earth plane, as without plants there would be no life on Earth.

It is the plants that trap the sunlight and, through photosynthesis, convert it into elements that are needed.  They produce Oxygen for us to breathe and help to dispel the harmful Carbon Dioxide.

This is the most important balancing act on Earth.  We may not be fully aware of this simple process going on, not only in our own garden, but throughout the world.

It is fully a part of Climate Change and through the increased production of Carbon Dioxide, this natural God-given process is no longer able to cope with Man’s excesses.

The evidence is all around us with changes to weather patterns, higher sea levels and the increasing temperatures melting the ice at the poles.

As the sea rises, much land will be lost altogether and this increases the pressure on the rising global population, who still expect to be fed and watered as a human right.

We all need to look at what is happening and be aware of it.  We must put pressure on those who refuse to acknowledge Global Warming as they greedily take their profits from world resources and endanger the whole planet.

You may think that this is something that God needs to put right, but He alone is not responsible for those who flaunt freewill for their own ends.

We all need to help to put right what Man has done wrong and not expect others to do so.  We all need to join together and share what we have in common and not allow our differences to divide us.

In our prayers and thoughts that we sent out to the Universe, we need to ask how we can help to overcome these problems.  They can’t and won’t be taken away, we must all learn to overcome them.

The Spirit is the working together of God’s directed plan of our success.  We need to recognise the guidance of all the spirits who make up the whole and devote their time and experience to us all.

We are all blessed to be guided and helped on a day to day basis.  We ask for the help that we need and it is given for our best interests.  We don’t always get what we want but what we need.

By sending out our thoughts and requests we need to include the greater picture as well as our local needs.  We should be aware of the tragedies and distress that are caused in other parts of the world.

None of us are alone, but we must recognise that help is given and we must act on it by living according to Spiritual Law and receiving what we sow.

The Negativity of Outrageous Fortune

As one gets older, it perhaps becomes more obvious just how many people are suffering from the negative energies that they have tolerated in their lives to date.

Health issues caused from the overindulgence of tobacco, alcohol, sugar and fast foods are responsible for so many souls suffering later on in their lives.

The hospitals and medical centres are spending vast amounts of time and money trying to negate the past indiscretions of so many people, who have unwisely overindulged or ignored warnings.

There are so many temptations and often one is made to look foolish by saying, “No.”  If you don’t indulge, then often you are not accepted by the rest of the group.

As we grow up today there are even more pressures put upon us by social media and texting acquittances, who we cannot call friends, as through the unfeeling cold words of the text, we hardly ever get to know them.

It is through the senses of communication that we start to understand another person.  Through their voice and facial expressions, we begin to see their character and the meaning of what makes them tick.

It is hard to show compassion or understanding to a character, who has as much humanity as a cartoon creation and yet so many are addicted to this contact through their ‘phones that they lose touch with their own families.

Our lives are given to us to enjoy and to help each other through the unconditional love of Our Creator.  Too many souls live in an artificial world without love and friendship to share.

All people from an early age need the warmth, unconditional love and guidance of close family members, who share a common bond to love and care for each other through good times and bad times.

In order to do this, they must be able to distinguish between the givers and the takers, who are the two common roots of all behaviour.  Giving souls need to be wary of the takers, who will destroy them by their greed.

We all need to have our own responsibilities and standards of behaviour.  We all will reap what we sow.  If we sow unwisely, we will regret it soon enough.

To live a successful life, we all need to balance ourselves.  Too much of anything will cause us pain in the long run.  It can be emotional pain, mental pain or physical pain.

By taking our own responsibly for who we are and what we do, we should be balanced enough to go through life in happiness and spiritually strengthened.

There is no doubt that God loves us and that miracles are given to those who are deserving on a daily basis.

The question is, “Do we love God and are we worthy of receiving what we have sown?”

Nobody can walk our pathway of this life, as we alone are responsible for our thoughts and deeds and actions.  We all need to feel and know our own spirituality that is within us.

It is the Spirit of God that will carry us through the passing of our earthly life when our broken earthly body lets us go.  When we go into the next stage of life, we will need some good deeds to carry with us.

The next plane of existence is based on unconditional love.  Are you ready for that?  It is a mighty step up from life on this earth plane if you are not ready.

What Do We Have To Look Forward To?

We are always growing up from the moment of birth through the education period and moving on to our first real job.  It is around this time that we start to practice a serious union of our own outside our original family.

It maybe that it is from this time that we have the most to look forward to, but it is also the hardest time to achieve all that we materially need for our own new family.  We need to be true to ourselves and our loved one.

These are the most formative years, when we strive to supply a home and put food on the table for a steady life with happiness and without the overstrain of too much worry and concern for our future.

It is here that the most important guidance can be applied to our lives, so that we follow Spiritual Law and reap according to what we sow.  This is the time when so many mistakes are made by those who scoff a Higher Intelligence above their own.

Few find life easy at this point, even though there is a sort of indestructible mechanism within that says that those bad things can never happen to me.  They only happen to others when their lives go wrong through their own mistakes.

Sadly, they can and do.  Many lives are ruined by the hurt inflicted on them by others if they fail to stand up for themselves.  The building of a new family relationship is fraught with dangers unless unconditional love rules.

There is an old saying that if you move in haste you repent at leisure.  Too often it all seems a good idea to rush into a relationship and expect/hope that it will work out for the best.

Usually there are little signs along the way, which are so often ignored.  What you get out of a relationship depends on what you put into it and how your contributions are received.  You also need to be respected as well as loved.

To give and take should apply to both parties and not with one giving and one taking.  As time goes on, the differences often become plainer and painful times happen, making us wonder where we went wrong.

These are the most formative years on which future happiness is based.  Bad times leave emotional scars that if not treated will remain for the rest of that lifetime.  Action needs to be taken, because just muddling through solves nothing.

As we look forward to what we think we want most, the dream is held as a mental representation of a present left under the tree that will make us happy without us having to work at it.

Very rarely is a miracle given to us of what we want most without a price to be paid then or later.  That Higher Intelligence thinks too highly of us to just feed our expectant whims.

To build ourselves in a progressive spiritual way, we need to experience what is put there in our pathway.  We can then overcome the damage of hurt and sometimes pain too, otherwise we achieve and learn nothing.

Somebody once said that you should never love something so much that you are frightened of losing it.  This applies to material things especially and nothing is worth that amount pain.

To love a person so deeply that you couldn’t bear to lose them, shows that the quality of that loss would become a burden on them as well as you.  By all means love them but share that love and go through all the ups and downs together as one.

As we move on in life looking to our future, we have different hopes and dreams according to our place on that ladder of life that we have risen to.  However, with age we tend to understand more and to give more to those around us.

We reach the summit of our career, have a nice home and perhaps enjoy retirement.  This is a time for relaxation, the pursuing of hobbies and joining in to help the community around us, where there may be many who need support and that helping hand.

Soon enough we reach that understanding that there are friends and relatives that have passed on and thoughts start to occur about our coming time to go.  We have already made provisions for our family members.

Know that all through our life there has been a thread of divinity and guidance.  Did we recognise it?  Were we able to understand that within us there are the answers to all questions if we ask in the right way.  It is never too late to seek the Spirit, which is within.

Preparation for that final stepping over to a state of unconditional love is there for us to accept and enjoy.  We must make sure that we are ready to honour the life that we have lived here and are willing and able to accept unconditional love in return.

With the New Year Comes New Challenges

“It is no good looking back on the past and seeing our mistakes.  We need to grasp the nettle and by putting our best intentions forward, make amends and go forward to make a better world and our part in it.

“The past has gone and we can only learn from our difficulties and raise our vibrations to create more positive actions.  It is not only our deeds, but our thoughts that need to be perfected and raised to higher levels.

“Too many souls seem to be ruled by financial interests and are often tempted away from balancing their own economy by using credit cards and taking out loans that over time they will have difficulty repaying.

“Now that the commercial Christmas is over, it is so often a time of counting the cost and for some it is a time for despair.  It is easy to overspend and want to show friends and family that we are better off than we actually are.

“This is brought on by show and an expanding ego, when we constantly try and keep up with others, who may be far better off that we are.

“Perhaps we value the material too much and tend to forget how much the spiritual is worth.  The good things in life are often said to be free, but taxation and higher ecological standards are making our world more expensive to live in.

“A wise First Nation from America told his son some years ago that even fresh water would soon be sold.  He was right in seeing the growing industries of bottled water becoming the baggage for all travellers.

“It is the simplest things that should lift our spirits such as the first colourful blooms that can be seen in our gardens and parks as the rising sap of spring initiates the wonders of creation.

“It is not necessary to buy cut flowers to brighten up our homes or to send bouquets of colour through the system of florists to warm the hearts of those with birthdays and anniversaries as well as for the sick.

“To send cut flowers is to only send a short message of your love and sometimes just gratitude in another form.  However, to send a plant that is in bud and promises to burst forth into colour and remain so, tends to be a joy.

“This living bundle of happiness can be cherished and nurtured through the months to come and bring to that soul the responsibility of tending it and by doing so in the right spirit of love, so that both can flourish.

“Plants respond to human kindness as we all do.  They enjoy happy vibrations and gentle music.  For many, who are growing older and often weaker, the gift of a plant can bring them more upliftment than the hustle and bustle of the life around them.

“We all need an interest to keep us positive and refreshed.  It is not good for the soul or our pathway in life to keep banging the drum of materialism.  We need some time off to rest and relax.

“So, as we venture into another New Year, let us seek out our responsibilities to make life around us just that bit better for ourselves, our family and those in need who we come across.

“Thoughtfulness doesn’t cost us very much at all really, but by our caring it is far more likely that we are able to bring a smile to more faces and brush away any lingering sadness that had accrued at this time of year.

“Remember that there are times when we all need a reason to smile and the best one is to give cheer to another, which we hope may become infectious to all who need that little boost of joy in their lives today.”
