All Together

To be all together is to be as one.  We need each other and we can’t function alone.  Together we can succeed, but if we try to do it alone, we will fail.  We were put together to help each other and to work for the greater good.  Jesus demonstrated this to his disciples when he washed their feet after the day’s walking on the road.  Their feet were dusty and tired.  Jesus showed that whoever you are, you need to be mindful of each other and the needs that each one had.

To stand alone is a very dangerous place to be.  It is not possible to journey on ones own and travelers always walk together in a group for company and for safety.  One man on his own was at risk of being attacked, but a group together would find safety in numbers.  To talk together was a way of exchanging ideas and the news from distant parts and so it was also an education to learn different ways of looking at life.  Certainly, Jesus walked with his disciples and he was able to teach them the important parts of his mission.  At the center of all that Jesus taught was love.  Love is the one thing that binds us all together and we need to share it between us all.

Love is positive and it keeps away negative emotions, which tend to destroy relations between people.  Negativity drives people apart, while love draws us all together by sharing all that we have in common.  It is when Mankind starts to divide us all by accentuating the differences between us that relationships fall apart.  All the goodness that we share is in unity with the whole.  And what we have in common makes us stronger, being of one mind and sharing what is love.  It is through division that we become weaker by dividing loyalties and making differences where there is no need for them to show themselves.

What divides us is weakness of the whole, like a wall of bricks that is built together as one without weakness.  Where there are faults or cracks, so the structure will eventually fall.  But when everything is correctly joined together, it will stand the test of time and will remain fulfilling in its function for all time.  Being at one together is to look after each other’s needs.  This bonding keeps people together and they will thrive together as one.  Remember the group of walkers on the road traveling as is best in the safety of the group.  Man was not made to be alone, but to share everything together for the greater good.  Only then is he strong and bonded with love, which conquers all.  Spirit is love and is the strength of being for all of us to give and receive.
