To enjoy freedom is to have free choice. As the Almighty gave us free will to choose where we want to go, this way or that in our lives, so He opened up the pathway for us to decide whether we wanted to go through the many doors that are open to us or not. We decide but know that in the end we will have to explain why we chose as we did. The spiritual way to live together and help others is always the destiny of each and every soul. However, there are souls who chose a selfish egotistical path of their own desires and are not concerned about the welfare of others. As we look around this earth plane, it is easy to spot the takers who live for themselves and simply take what they want from those foolish enough to allow it to happen that way.
The givers of this world do have a choice also and can turn away from the takers and have nothing to do with them. Sometimes they are in your own family, but you still have the choice or freedom to disassociate yourself from their abuse. The sooner the youngster spots it, the sooner they have to stand up for themselves and draw a veil over the relationship. It can be hard, but it can be done, so that each can go their own way in freedom and with peace of mind. Whatever the reasons that takers give for their behavior it will not be true and will never change. They have this way of functioning and their brain knows no other. It is already pre-set and is driven from the mind that has set it on this course.
The giver on the other hand does have the freedom to change. That is not to stop giving which they would find hard, but to disassociate themselves with the takers. They need to give as that is their nature, but they can find another giver to be with and together they will live in peace and harmony. If two givers fall in love, then they will live in perfect harmony, as their passions are driven by unconditional love. If a giver and a taker come together to form a union, then it is bound to be a rocky one. The taker will always be demanding and wanting to control. They will never change. Sometimes the giver thinks that they can change the other and show them how best to behave, as surely love conquers all, but it doesn’t. The leopard doesn’t change its spots.
Freedom is a gift given to us all and it is up to us to use it wisely. Where there are circumstances where freedom is withdrawn by the regime that controls its people, then one must strive to change that regime. In God’s world it is never enough to lie down in the face of evil actions and not try to bring goodness to replace them. It may be an uphill battle, but why are we put where we are if not to make a difference for the greater good. The disciples of Jesus Christ followed the teachings of their Master, who gave his life so that the people would understand. They used their freedom to preach the story of their Master, who rose from the crucifixion to prove that life is eternal. The Roman Empire hated the followers of Jesus and hunted them down, but already they were changing the future by their sacrifices.
