A Broken Heart

It is often said that he died of a broken heart.  The young man was lost to himself because he loved a lady who did not return his love and so he pined away ending it all eventually with a broken heart.  There is nothing more tragic than loving what is being denied.  To be unloved is to be in a state of being that is full of sadness.  Unrequited love is a sadness that cannot be repaired by any medical operation.  It is a biological disaster while love brings joy and happiness it can bring tragedy that is unbearable.  Once it is certain that love cannot be returned and is given to another, the heart of the young man is broken for all time.  To see the young lady in the arms of another is a lost cause as her happiness only brings further hurt and pain to the other, who would give her everything he has but to no avail.

When love cannot be returned it leaves a void that cannot be filled.  No other soul can come into the life of another and repair a broken heart.  There is no mechanism to do this.  The heart is left to experience its loneliness for all time.  However attractive this soul may be, it cannot reach out to another and find a replacement.  It is often said that his heart just wasn’t in it and this would be true.  A relationship without love is no relationship at all.  The heart dies and is lost to the world of happiness.  The sadness festers and is existing only in a negative way.  Instead of giving, when there is no one there to receive it the blessings of a loving heart turns to dust.

It aches for the impossible, but even God who can heal anything cannot heal a broken heart.  He can make the situation better by allowing another to come into the life of this soul, but even when they bring love it cannot fully heal the desire that beats inside the broken heart.  Once broken it cannot be fully mended and the original heartache will always be there.  Even an understanding soul cannot be other than second best and have to accept a life of having something that is better than nothing.  Love is a form of illness that cannot be fixed by another.

The original state of being always remains intact and cannot be covered up.  However, kind the vibrations are, the honest way is the only way and unconditional love can only be given on one side, so sadness is always waiting to be exposed.  It is possible that a soul never experiences true love in their lifetime and however much they try it, it is an emotion that is never fulfilled.  The world is full of souls who thought that they had found love, but the divorce courts are full of the broken shafts of good intentions.  It is said that it is better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all, but is the one who is left with a broken heart be carried to the end of life unfulfilled and lonely?  Sadness is the result of hankering after the unobtainable.
