Still Believing?

When one is very little, we all believe in God sending His angels.  As we grow up, we continue to believe in the Master Jesus.  When we go to school, we meet others and often our belief system falters.  We do not continue with our prayers and so we become known as faithless.  Even if something happens.  We find ourselves calling out for help from the angels to come and help us.  We may send our prayers to Jesus for him to come and help us once more and when we become older, we are more self-sufficient as we somehow manage to get by without the help that we previously needed when we were small and vulnerable.

There is still a grain of truth within us, but we rarely ever have to ask for help to get what we want.  We are still a good soul at heart and we still do things to help others, but we don’t have the formal practices and only go to church at Christmas and Easter.  So, the question is asked, “Do we still believe?”  The answer is variable and often it depends on one’s girlfriend, who may still cling to her belief in angels and being looked after by them.  It is a girlish thing and boys are meant to be tougher and get along without calling out.  It is often better in life that one quietly returns to the adulation of a faith when the going gets a bit tougher and when one is at an age that one’s grandparents pass away.

Then we start to question about where they go and what is the point of life at all?  We all suddenly need to start thinking about where we go and what are the chances of leading a good enough life to be welcomed into Heaven or the Spirit World.  It suddenly starts to matter about the soul being judged for taking the responsibility of life, when the opportunities occur in front of us.  Do we help others for the greater good asking no reward except for that good feeling of doing what is right?  One maybe tested by loosing one’s partner and have to go through the day to always act alone.

There may be children to look after.  Do they believe in good and evil?  Do you find yourself questioning your beliefs in the light of what you have seen going on in the world around you?  Do you understand why some people are persuaded to demonstrate for the freedom that you may have taken for granted.  Memories of the life of Jesus and His teachings may come to mind and you start to realize that you are not alone and there is love and guidance available to all who believe that there is a purpose to it all and that some are called to give love and healing to those who are in need.  Unconditional love plays a part in everyone’s life and the givers of one’s time is an nonburnable thing to do.  As you save another in distress and think there but for the Grace of God….
