Bravery

It is this state of being that many people owe their lives.  Bravery is to put oneself second to the cause and know that to lose one’s life so that others may live.  It is a common enough happening in the state of men, who have the job of keeping others safe by their actions.  They may be firemen who risk their lives so that others may escape the flames and come out of the building due to the bravery of those who risk their own lives to make safety possible for others.  Indeed, there are many who dare to put others first before their own safety.  In fighting the dangers of a blazing building or a collapsing state of being they go into to secure others.

During a state of war there is much talk of bravery occurring among those who fight to protect women and children from certain death.  They may only have a split moment to decide whether they should act.  A man of action may save a child from drowning by an act of bravery and where and when asked afterwards he often says he didn’t think about doing it but just went ahead anyway.  The instant act of such a person is caused by a natural attention and by acting on impulse, they dare to act against the odds and through their bravery a moment of disaster is avoided.   Bravery is only noticed afterwards when the job is completed.  The action has been undertaken and the rescue completed.

Bravery is a natural action completed against all the odds resulting in the success for another to survive.  It is usually the quiet ones who will pull off their jackets and go to the rescue of another.  They may not expect to be treated as heroes, but that is what they are.  It is the one who has to arrange to step into the breach and rescue that child or lady from the gangster that has set upon them and against all the odds sends them on their way.  If one thought about what one was taking on then perhaps, they would think twice, but the act of bravery is without logic.  It just happens because there is a need and that is fulfilled by one who just happens to be there at the time.  Is it an action that God gives us this opportunity to prove our worth?

It is the action of an angel to step aside and step up to the plate to perform an act of bravery in time of danger. One thing is for sure and that is that the strength needed is increased when needed by Divine Intervention.  We are often given that extra push when we automatically carry out an action that needs great courage and where our lives may be in danger.  We may well be called to action through the power of God to help a weaker soul, who is in trouble through no fault of their own.  Men may be saved from a collapsing mine shaft and are rescued by the actions of others, who put their lives on the line and through their bravery succeed against all the odds when allowed to do God’s will for the greater good.
